Ramsay State School is located around 18kms south of Toowoomba on the Ramsay plateau
and is home to several families on acreage and families who enjoy the personalised sharing, caring family nature of our school. This delightful school is set on nearly 20 acres of bushland just under the rim of the range. The school was established in 1881. The school is the hub of the vibrant community with great community support.
The Ramsay State School community and surrounding area has experienced significant growth in recent years with several subdivisions only a few kilometres east of the school. Many of our families desire rural lifestyles with the convenience of proximity to employment in Toowoomba.
Our P&C is a band of very devoted and efficient people. Their support in both the funding and the decision making for the school is fantastic. They assisted to employ a third teacher to reduce our class sizes. The Ramsay State School community enjoy many social occasions whilst still raising money to support our Ramsay State School.
Our students learn in multi-age classroom environments. Children at Ramsay State School naturally take on responsibility and a family style care of others developing mentoring skills with younger students. Each child is challenged to learn to their potential through the appropriate provision of individualised programs that support or extend them, including a strong, interesting extra curricular program.
